The Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. is calling on all Filipinos to support the country’s Miss Universe bet this year, Shamcey Supsup.
The Miss Universe Organization (MUO) has announced that a 16th semifinal slot will be awarded to the delegate who will be chosen via a popularity voting scheme on the Internet.
But it is not a question of the highest numbers. Average scores that the delegates will receive per country will be tabulated to determine her score. The one lady with the highest average automatically advances to the semifinals.
To vote, log on to www.missuniverse.com and click on the tab “Contestants.” Select “Philippines-Shamcey Supsup” and click “Vote.” Then complete the form and give the Philippines a ranking of “10.” Then click “Submit vote for Philippines.”
Up to 10 votes per day will be accepted for every e-mail account used. Overseas Filipinos are also urged to support Shamcey. Voting is until 6 a.m. on Sept. 12 (Manila time).
Shamcey, 25, is in Sao Paolo, Brazil, with around 90 other contenders.
