Weeks after going public with her romance with Batangas Vice Governor Mark Leviste, TikTok personality Aira Lopez reiterated that she would rather choose a “mature” partner than someone of her age who does the opposite.
Lopez spoke about her relationship with Leviste on her Instagram Story on Sunday, February 16, as she addressed their 28-year age gap.
“I don’t know why, until now, age gaps in relationships are still a big problem for people. Yes, there’s a 28-year age gap,” she wrote.

The internet personality said she would rather date someone who’s “mature and respectful,” instead of someone who cannot treat their partner right despite having the same age.
“But I’d rather choose a mature, smart, hardworking, and respectful partner over someone my age who lacks the ability to treat a woman well,” she said. “After all, drama and headaches often come with someone our age. Haha! #aminin”
In a follow-up Instagram Story, Lopez thanked her followers for agreeing to her remarks about age-gap relationships with some even sharing their experiences to her. Leviste is 20 years older than Lopez.
“Thank you for your thoughts! Just to clarify, I’m not suggesting or encouraging anyone to date someone older. I’m simply saying that, it’s a reality, it happens and often, it works,” she said.

Lopez and Leviste went public with their relationship in January 2024, where the Batangas-based politician asked the content creator to be his girlfriend over a romantic dinner.
On Valentine’s day, the couple flew to Hong Kong for an overnight trip.
Leviste was previously in an on-and-off relationship with actress-host Kris Aquino, and eventually ended their romance for good in November 2023.
