Jacqui Magno celebrates 60th birthday with benefit show

MANILA, Philippines – In celebration of her 60^th birthday, Jacqui Magno, one of the country’s most durable singers, will perform in a benefit concert titled “Sparkling Diamond” at 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Teatrino in Greenhills, San Juan.

Backed by a nine-piece band of the AMP under the musical direction of Mel Villena, Magno will perform timeless jazz, standards, contemporary and kundiman hits.

Supporting her with solos, duets and production numbers are Richard Merk and Chad Borja.

Proceeds will go to the indigent elderly patients of the geriatric ward of the Quirino Memorial Medical Center, which is also celebrating its 60^th year anniversary.

The show is presented by Banana 3 Productions, in cooperation with PLDT Fibr and Laurel Media, with sponsors Crossover 105.1 FM, Radio High 105.9 FM, The Philippine Daily Inquirer, Ritemed and Gerry’s Grill.
