‘Thy Womb’ goes to Hawaii

Filipino filmmaker Brillante Ma. Mendoza’s “Thy Womb” will be shown at the 33rd Hawaii International Film Festival, to be held from Oct. 10 to 20.

Mendoza told the Inquirer that the Nora Aunor-starrer is included in the Filmmaker in Focus section.

The Hawaii fest marks the United States premiere of “Thy Womb,” which will also be screened at the St. Petersburg International Film Festival, set in Russia from Sept. 13 to 22. Bayani San Diego Jr.
