Another crown has been added to the Philippines’ impressive collection of global beauty titles as Bicolana contender Jeanne Isabelle Bilasano was proclaimed as Face of Beauty International 2024 in Taiwan.

The speech pathologist from Albay posted the Philippines’ first victory in the 12-year-old pageant at the “Global Grand Finale” held at the Lin Palace in Kaohsiung, in southern Taiwan, on Thursday night, Sept. 19.

Bilasano also collected the following special awards–People’s Choice, Best in National, Best in Swimsuit, and Best in Evening Gown.

Host delegate Anita Wang settled for the first runner-up spot, while Stephanie Fernandez from Colombia was second runner-up. Sebne Lata Mailei from Tonga was third runner-up, and Warunchana Radomlek rounded up the winners’ circle as fourth runner-up.

Before Bilasano won the crown, Filipino contenders Princess Ramos and Rosantonette Mendoza finished as second runner-up in 2016 and fourth runner-up in 2018, respectively.

Bilasano earned her Face of Beauty Philippines title after finishing as a finalist in the 2024 Miss World Philippines pageant in July, a national competition under talent manager Arnold Vegafria’s ALV Pageant Circle.

By winning the 2024 Face of Beauty International title, Bilasano has also joined an elite roster of ALV Pageant Circle’s first entrants who eventually brought home international victories.

The other ALV Pageant Circle and Miss World Philippines winners who scored international victories as the country’s first entrants in their respective global tilts were 2017 Reina Hispanoamericana Teresita Ssen “Winwyn” Marquez, 2018 Miss Eco International Cynthia Thomalla, and 2018 Miss Multinational Sophia Senoron.

Bilasano is no stranger to pageants. Her first national competition was the 2023 Binibining Pilipinas pageant, where she finished in the Top 11, and was proclaimed as Best in National Costume.

For her entire pageant journey, Bilasano was guided by The Crown Initiative (TCI) beauty camp, whose advisors include 1984 Miss Universe third runner-up Desiree Verdadero, 1991 Miss International semifinalist Patty Betita, 1992 Bb. Pilipinas Maja Marina Benipayo, and queen maker and renowned fashion designer Renee Salud.
