Aside from the 53 candidates who paraded in their eye-catching evening gowns during the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 coronation night, so did the female hosts of the program who came out with their respective garbs worthy of the crown.

Miss Universe 2022 R’Bonney Gabriel and award-winning Hollywood presenter Jeannie Mai, both imported by the national pageant organization to host the coronation night, as well as actress Gabbi Garcia who served as commentator, all came onstage in their respective ensembles that served as eye-candies to pageant watchers.

The Filipino-American beauty queen shared that her first look of the night, which is a yellow rose-inspired gown designed by Larry Espinosa, was a “love letter” dedicated to her beloved hometown of Texas.

“A symbol of Lone Star Womanhood. I wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for the Texas women who helped me unlock the potential I didn’t realize I had,” she said, referring to the beginning of her pageantry.

“This initiated me on a path where I felt most aligned and was the most rewarding journey. I’ll never forget where I started,” added the beauty queen.

Her second outfit created by Ehrran Montoya, a pink gown notable for its wavy design, was a homage to her Filipino father, who “fought many obstacles in life and taught her that storms can be people’s greatest teachers if they know how to find the beauty in them.”

The last gown that Filipino-American beauty wore was another design by Espinosa — a shimmering body-hugging nude column gown made with rhinestone flowers on the tube neckline which she dedicated to her mother.

Gabriel said this last gown “embodies her mother’s modest upbringing, with rhinestone flowers for her tough but delicate nature.”

On the other hand, Jeannie Mai, who was commended by the viewers for her hosting skills and for bringing wit and humor to the pageant, initially shared that she was excited to wear pieces designed by Filipinos.

One of the gowns that she wore was also designed by Montoya, a strapless black gown with a big white flower design.
