“The well-loved Miss Universe host and TV personality will be one of the hosts of The Coronation of Miss Universe Philippines 2024 on May 22, 2024. [crown emoji] It’s going to be an unforgettable evening. See you there!” the national pageant organization said on social media.

This is not the first time that the national pageant had international personalities as hosts. Last year, 2019 Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi was a special host.

In 2022, a trio of Miss Universe winners handled the ceremonies — the Philippines’ Pia Wurtzbach from 2015, France’s Iris Mittenaere from 2016, and South Africa’s Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters from 2017.

For this year’s show, “Drag Race UK vs the World” season 2 finalist Marina Summers and pop band Lola Amour of “Raining in Manila” fame will perform.

Fifty-three delegates from around the country and overseas Filipino communities are competing this year to succeed reigning queen Michelle Marquez Dee. The winner will represent the Philippines in the 73rd Miss Universe pageant in Mexico later this year.
