Met Gala 2024 is fashion’s biggest night out, and it’s also a rare outing for celebrity couples to be seen together and see if their off-screen chemistry could translate to the red carpet.

The newest celebrity couple in town made their Met Gala debut as a couple. The “Saltburn” actor and the “Nonsense” singer have been seeing each other since December of last year. For this year’s gala, the two pose together, with him wearing a turtleneck dark gold suit and her in a black mermaid dress with a blue billowy base.

Chris Hemsworth and wife Elsa Pataky

Channeling her inner goddess, Elsa Pataky stepped out in a sheer gold Tom Ford gown, with her hair braided into a coronet, complete with a gold leaf tiara. Actor Chris Hemsworth, her husband of 14 years, came out complimenting her color palette in a cream Tom Ford suit. As co-chair, it is Hemsworth’s first time attending the biggest fashion fundraising, and he brought his wife, telling the reporters that it is part of his way of “spoiling” himself.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban

Married since 2006, the Academy Award winner and the country singer have been providing that attraction that could last in Hollywood as they continue to bring each other to the red carpet events. For this year’s Met Gala, the couple happily walked hand-in-hand with him in a black tuxedo, white buttoned up, and her wearing a black and white strapless gown.

Rita Ora and Taika Waititi

Rita Ora went for a daring sheer multicolored hand-embroidered piece in the shape of an inverted triangle that is no way a gown, strategically covering the middle part of her body but still showed a significant amount of her sides and limbs. Her partner, actor-director Taika Waititi was the perfect foil as he faded in the background with his all-brown ensemble, and gray hair and beard. The friends-to-lovers couple tied the knot in 2022.

Kieran Culkin and Jazz Charton

Gracing the Met Gala red carpet, the “Succession” star wore a cream KidSuper suit with a dash of pastel color splatters, while his non-showbiz wife wore a yellow halterneck gown with floral details in front and thigh-high slit. The two tied the knot in 2013.

Matt Damon and wife Luciana Barroso

Making the Met Gala a rare date night, “Martian” actor Matt Damon and his wife of almost two decades Luciana Barroso aimed for a classic look. The actor as she wore an elegant white gown with a swirling back design, while he wore a simple black tuxedo.

Dove Cameron and Damiano David

Maleficient must have been absent when Dove Cameron, a.k.a. Mal of “Descendants,” was dressing up for this year’s Met Gala. Cameron’s look seemed more of a nod to Sleeping Beauty with her nude long-sleeves, low-necked floral gown and long trail. Damiano David, meanwhile, bared his torso with a shirtless black suit.

Aside from individual fashion extravagance, the Met Gala has been a successful date night for “Stay With Me” singer Sam Smith, who arrived at the 2024 Met Gala hand-in-hand with his boyfriend as they matched their black and white classic suits. Despite not officially confirming their relationship, the two have been spotted on several occasions getting cozy around each other.
