Fans rejoiced as Angelica Panganiban said she officially ended her “sad girl era” and has now signed off as the “patron saint of the brokenhearted.”

“Ito na ang tamang pagkakataon para magpasalamat tayong lahat kay Gregg! Tinapos niya ang sad girl era ko,” the actress told her followers while showing photos from her second wedding to Gregg Homan via her Instagram page on Thursday, April 25.

(This is the moment for us to thank Gregg! He ended my sad girl era.)

“Ang patron saint ng mga brokenhearted, now officially signing off. Sino gusto sumalo ng korona?” she quipped.

(The patron saint of the brokenhearted [is] now officially signing off. Who wants to inherit the crown?)

Panganiban apparently earned the moniker after her several high-profile relationships which all ended up in a breakup.

Netizens then expressed their happiness for the actress, at the same appealing to her to end the curse.

“Tapusin mo na ang sumpa. Wala na dapat sad girl era ang sang-kababaihan at sang-kabaklaan!” one @melai0712 said. (Please end the curse with you. There should be no more sad girl era for girls and gays!)

“Wag mo na ipasa, beh. Parang awa mo na,” Instagram user @dyandelfin appealed. (Please don’t pass it on. I beg of you.)
