Cinemanila opens today

The 15th edition of the Cinemanila International Film Festival opens today at SM Aura Taguig, where it will run until Dec. 22. This year’s theme is “Vision and Passion.” Opening the fest is a Korean box-office hit, Kim Byeong-woo’s “The Terror, Live.” Lav Diaz’s internationally acclaimed four-hour epic “Norte, Hangganan ng Kasaysayan,” makes its Philippine premiere at the close of the fest.

Movie director Tikoy Aguiluz, also founder of the annual Cinemanila International Film Festival, paid tribute to this year’s participating filmmakers during the awards ceremony held on Saturday night at the Bonifacio High Street Central Amphitheater in Taguig City.
