Showing at SM Aura are the world’s best films, featured in the country’s longest-running international film festival.

Now on its 15th year, the Cinemanila International Film Festival unveils a unique lineup that includes several movies vying for slots in the best foreign language film category of the coming 86th Academy Awards.

Among the Oscar contenders that will be shown at this year’s Cinemanila are “Iloilo” (Singapore), “Neighboring Sound” (Brazil), “The Missing Picture” (Cambodia), “In Bloom” (Georgia), “Winter of Discontent” (Egypt), “Heli” (Mexico), “The Rocket” (Australia), “The Great Beauty” (Italy) and “Transit” (Philippines).

FEATURED STORIES

Most of the films in the Cinemanila lineup premiered at Cannes, Berlin and other top international festivals.

The Cinemanila International Film Festival is ongoing until Dec. 22 at SM Aura Cinema Premier, Taguig City.

The 15th Cinemanila International Film Festival is presented by the city of Taguig, the Cinemanila International Film Festival Foundation and SM Aura Premier.
