PH films win in Hong Kong Asia film awards

MANILA, Philippines—Jun Robles Lana’s “Kuwentong Barbero (Barber’s Tales)” won four honors at the Hong Kong Asia Film Financing Forum (HAF): the HAF, ARRI, Technicolor Asia and Catapooolt awards. In sum, Lana’s film brought home “over P2 million” worth of prizes at the HAF, according to Perci Intalan, producer of “Barber’s Tales.”
Also at the HAF, Lana announced the cast of “Barber’s Tales”: Eugene Domingo, Iza Calzado, Edgar Allan Guzman, Gardo Versoza, Shamaine Centenera-Buencamino, Sue Prado and Eddie Garcia.
Meanwhile, Lawrence Fajardo’s “Juan Tansan (One Thousand)” also won the Catapooolt prize which comes with US$500 (P20,374).
The HAF concluded March 20.
