Is Carlo Aquino the new leading man in the upcoming Viva film “Ulan” starring Nadine Lustre?

In a new photo posted by the Twitter account of the Viva Artist Agency on Monday, Oct. 15,  Lustre and Aquino are captured taking shelter from the pouring rain.

While netizens were swooning and expressed their excitement for the film, one Lea Arigo (@ArigoLea) got curious and asked where Xian Lim is. The actor previously signed up to be Lustre’s partner for the movie.

Lim then replied to the netizen’s query and made a revelation: “Thank you for asking [smile emoji] no I’m not part of the movie na po.” Nevertheless, Lim extended his support to the cast and crew as he said, “It’ll be a great one for sure.”

Netizens then expressed their disappointment over Lim’s departure from the film, such as  meng hanash (@meng91573). “sayang. looking forward pa naman kami with you working with Nadine,” (Bummer, we’re all looking forward on seeing you work with Nadine.) she said.

Meanwhile a fan account of Lim and Kim Chiu (@88alexkim) said: “pero iba pa rin kung IKAW YUNG BIDA SA ULAN XI!” (But it would still be different if you were the star of “Ulan”, Xi!)

One fan, J A J A (@iamJaniineKaye), told the actor that it was okay if he was not the star of the film anymore, adding that she and his other fans will wait for his next project.

It was back in June when Lustre and Lim signed up for “Ulan”. Joining them in the cast are Marco Gumabao and AJ Muhlach. Irene Villamor will take the director’s seat and will also serve as the writer. Viva Entertainment is yet to announce the movie’s release date.

It has not yet been made clear why Lim was replaced by Aquino, as of this writing. JB
