Lolit Solis on Baron Geisler: ‘Waste of time to help him’

Veteran talent manager and entertainment columnist Lolit Solis voiced out her opinion on troubled actor Baron Geisler’s recent arrest due to a bar brawl in Quezon City.
Through a lengthy Instagram post, Solis gave her two cents on the actor and his successive involvements in similar controversies in the past.
Not knowing whether to simply understand Geisler or get mad for his unexplainable behavior, Solis feels he might need more serious help than just mere rehabilitation.
“Para bang no amount of understanding can changed him, talaga gusto niya self destruction, hindi na lang addiction siguro iyon kay Baron baka may sakit na siya na kailangan gamutin hindi lang sa rehab kundi sa isang hospital for the brains,” she wrote.
(It’s like no amount of understanding can change him. He really wants to self-destruct. It’s no longer just addiction, perhaps Baron has a condition that cannot be treated in a rehab facility anymore, but can be treated instead in a hospital for the brains.)
“Siya ang case ng isang tao na kahit tulungan mo hindi na niya maa appreciate,” she added.
(He’s one example of a person who wouldn’t anymore appreciate any kind of help you would give.)
Solis said that only Geisler can help himself hence, “it will be a waste of time sa mga tao na tulungan siya dahil mismo siya ayaw magbago , mismo siya hindi gusto,” she added.
(It will be a waste of time for people to help him because he himself does not want change.)
In the end, the talent manager said prayers can only save a “lost soul” such as Baron Geisler.

Meanwhile, Geisler’s family, particularly his older brother, two-time taekwondo Olympian Donald David Geisler III has already apologized for the actor. He also assured that their family will seek professional help to treat his brother’s problems most particularly with alcohol.
Geisler is currently detained at the Kamuning Police Station in Quezon City. JB
