Daniel Craig ‘couldn’t be happier’ being James Bond again

Last July, reports surfaced that Daniel Craig would return for a fifth movie as the world’s most popular spy, James Bond. However, the 49-year-old English actor remained mum about the casting—up until now.

In an appearance on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” Craig not only confirmed the role but also expressed his feelings reprising the iconic character on the big screen.

“I have been quite cagey about it. I have been doing interviews all day and people have been asking me and I think I’ve been rather coy,” he told Colbert. “But kind of felt like if I was going to speak the truth I should speak truth to you.”

Like a man proposing to his significant other, the talk show host kept prying and finally asked the million-dollar question.

“We could use some good news here. Daniel Craig, will you return as James Bond?” to which Craig answered an assuring yes.

Despite the good news, Craig hinted that he would be hanging his coat for good after this, which will be his final hurrah as the fictional agent.

“I think this is it. I just want to go out on a high note and I can’t wait,” he said.

Meanwhile, James Bond remains as one of Hollywood’s most glorious roles, having been played by seven amazing actors through the years.
