Jennifer Lawrence spoke candidly about her relationship with director Darren Aronofsky, whom she worked with in his latest psycho-horror film “Mother!”

The 26-year-old Academy Award-winning actress and the critically acclaimed director—known for dark works like “Black Swan” and “Requiem for a Dream”—have been dating for a year now, and only after shooting for “Mother!” wrapped up around September 2016.

“We had energy. I had energy for him. I don’t know how he felt about me,” she said in a Vogue interview for the publication’s September issue.

The director is over two decades older than Lawrence, and sometimes the gap shows in their interests. For instance, to wind down from the rigors of the shoot, off set the actress would watch reality shows such as “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” in a tent.

While she describes it as her “happy place,” she said Aronofsky finds reality shows “so vastly disappointing.”

Otherwise, they work in tandem. “I normally don’t like Harvard people, because they can’t go two minutes without mentioning that they went to Harvard,” she said. Aronofsky studied film and sociology at the Ivy League school. “He’s not like that.”

While both are recognized for their immense talent and the effort they put in their craft, Lawrence has great respect for his work. “When I saw the movie [‘Mother!’], I was reminded all over again how brilliant he is. The past year, I’ve been dealing with him as just a human.”

Aronofsky was previously engaged to Rachel Weisz, with whom he has a son, and dated film producer Brandi-Ann Milbradt. Lawrence describes him as as an “amazing father.”

The “Hunger Games” star dated “X-Men” co-star Nicholas Hoult and Coldplay vocalist Chris Martin.

Being with Aronofsky, she had this to say: “I’ve been in relationships before where I am just confused. And I’m never confused with him.”  Niña V. Guno /ra
