From a tranquil husband and wife’s daily life, to one filled with strangers and strange happenings, Jennifer Lawrence struggles to keep her sanity intact as shown in this new trailer for the movie “Mother!”

Directed by Darren Aronofsky, the man who helmed “Black Swan” and other psychological film classics such as “Requiem for a Dream” and “Pi”, “Mother!” is a horror-thriller that explores the relationship between a wife (Jennifer Lawrence) and her husband (Javier Bardem) as strange individuals begin appearing one after another at their home.

What started out as just a couple of people visiting quickly escalated to include groups of individuals, whom the husband cryptically claims all came to see him.

The trailer also shows that something supernatural may be the root cause of all that is transpiring in the couple’s life.

“Mother!” also stars veteran actors Michelle Pfeiffer and Ed Harris. The movie is scheduled to premier in theaters on September 15. JB
