Actor Baron Geisler and fellow indie film actor Kiko Matos faced each other Tuesday with a lot of bullying and trash-talking in the run-up to their cage fight at the Valkyrie Nightclub on June 25 .

The two were presented at the press conference of the Universal Reality Combat Championship (URCC) at Shakey’s Malate in Manila.

No sooner than the briefing started when fire started to blaze as the two engaged in stabbing banters.

Baron officially started the trash talk when a reporter fired the first question.

“Ayaw mo bang ladies first? Sorry naunahan na kita sa salita pati sa bigwas, huli ka na,” Geisler provoked Matos.

Matos just ignored him and as the briefing continued, Geisler shot again. “Anyway bibigyan ko si Kiko ng bente singko (centavos) dahil sa bentesingko kami magkikita pero bente singko (centavos) lang talaga ang halaga niya.”

Before ending his sentence on his reaction toward the massive media attention and social media “cult” following that he has gained because of the series of bar brawls and sensationalized social scandals he’s been into, Geisler asked Matos naughtily. “Kiko, may tanong ako sa ‘yo, powder or lotion?”

Matos then went in for the vengeance, making a comment to Geisler: “Di kasi nagslur ano [voice] mo kala ko nakainom ka na naman eh.”

Geisler laughed at Matos’ remark and repeatedly teased him of being a liar.

Geisler also expressed his “disappointment” over Matos’ training within the URCC main camp in Sucat, Paranaque.

“I just want to say medyo nagtatampo ‘ko kay Prof. Alvin [Aguilar, the URCC founder]. Di ko maintindihan kung bakit sa Deftac nagtrain si Kiko, that’s very unfair, let me speak. Baka speak kita ulit, magustuhan mo ulit tumahimik ka (backing off Matos as the latter murmurs as he speaks) I live in Pampanga kasi, I just find it very unfair na why dun sa pinaka main camp pa ng MMA, yun nga that’s why I’m really pissed off right now and I just want to air it out. Sana rin wala kayong kinikilingan samin dalawa Prof Alvin ni Kiko Matos, matsing, please answer, I’m really pissed off.”

Aguilar was then quick to defend himself and the URCC, saying he favored no one and Geisler, and anyone for the matter, was welcome to train within the URCC camp.

“First of all, my gym is welcome to everybody, you’re also welcome there, Kiko trains with our instructor who’s not part of the Deftac team yet so we have a Deftac team, we have trainers but they don’t train with Kiko. Kiko goes to Batangas to train with his friend there. Inuulit ko, we’re not favoring anybody or anything like that, I’ve known you way before him and you know that. We’re not favoring anybody here and we’re all pretty good to go. As much as possible I want a really really good fight. Kiko’s actually training all the way in Batangas; one of the guys there is a Deftac affiliate but he’s not part of the Deftac MMA team. He just trains in our gym, not in our team. So I hope that clarifies everything,” Aguilar explained.

Matos also clarified Geisler’s “favoritism” allegation. “I’ve been training with my friend, who’s my kababata. I’ve known him since I was in grade school. One reason why I came to BAMF gym is because he’s an affiliate of Deftac kaya ‘ko nagpupunta sa Batangas, ayun po,” Matos said.

Amid their heated tussle, the two gentlemen were asked for anything good they see in each other and Geisler answered first, spiking his trash talk.

“Isa lang, he’s a monkey, I’m a human being, I think I’m smarter than him,” Geisler teased.

Matos struck back. “Ako ilalayo ko yung mukha ko sa bunganga niya dahil sobrang baho ng hininga niya malamang amoy chiko yan pagdating sa laban saka ano baka amoy putok rin.”

Geisler bristled: “Dude, so low dude, yun lang yun? Pare, napaka cheap, cheap pati yung salita mo napaka cheap. I haven’t been drinking and thanks to MMA nagkaron ako ng disiplina. Dude, come on, tama na yung mga lies, so delusional man, what the hell, lalo ka magiging delusional after the fight ‘pag nabigwasan kita.”

Matos said that he had actually imagined he would eventually become friends with Geisler, adding that his anger resulting from their bar brawl last month was all gone but that he could not afford to turn back now. “Actually nakikita ko maganda kay Baron yung mukha niya eh, sarap gasgasan. Alam mo, I’ve always thought we’d be friends, actually ako wala na ko galit eh, kung ano man yung nangyari in the past, I’d like to put it all aside and be in good terms but it’s too late to turn back now.”

Before Matos could even finish his statement, Geisler quickly retorted.

“Liar, he said a lot of bad things about me ngayon binabawi mo!” Geisler shouted.

A laughing Matos explained that it was him [Geisler] who actually asked for everything he [Matos] did to him [Geisler]. “Pare ikaw naman nauna eh, you asked for it. Katulad nung first you asked for it, pati nung sinipa kita you asked for it, you just asked for it.”

Geisler then ended his word war with a straightforward statement. “You know, man, when I approached you and said thank you thank you very much man, thank you, stop dude. Anyway we will know the truth pagdating sa bente singko.”
