Nadine’s mom tells James Reid: Thank you for loving my daughter
The mother of actress Nadine Lustre seemed to give her blessing on the relationship of her daughter with actor James Reid.
In an Instagram post, Lustre’s mother Myraquel posted a snippet of the JaDine concert on Saturday, the day where the two teen stars admitted that they are already a couple.
In her caption, she thanked Reid for loving her daughter.
“@jaye.wolf Thank you for loving Nadine, please take good care of her. Praying for both of you!#otwollastmemorabletrip,” Lustre’s mother said on Sunday.
The post has since been liked by more than 10,800 Instagram users.
In an interview with reporters on Sunday, Reid recalled how she wooed Lustre to be his girlfriend.
He said that he asked the blessing of Lustre’s father Ulyses before he admitted his feelings to the actress.
“On the 11th, we went out for dinner and I was like, ’I bet you didn’t know I could be like this.’ She was like, ‘Yeah I didn’t expect this from you.”It’s different when I’m in love,’ I said, then she said, ‘Are you in love?’ And then I thought, ‘You know what, right now is the right time.’ She said, ‘Are you in love?’ I said ‘Yes, of course.’,” Reid was quoted in a report by the Philippine Entertainment Portal (Pep.PH).
The 22-year-old actor said that after revealing that he’s in love with her, Lustre just smiled and said “Kilig ako!”
He also said that he confirmed their relationship not for the love team’s fans but for himself.
“I didn’t do it for my fans, I just did it for my own. I expected it [na masaya sila]. I am happy that they are happy, I am happy that everyone’s happy,” he said.
The two teen actors star in the hit teleserye “On The Wings of Love” which is now down to its final week. AJH
