Osang sides with Cathy Garcia-Molina: Showbiz not for thin-skinned

/ 05:22 PM January 03, 2016

Actress Rosanna “Osang” Roces sided with director Cathy Garcia Molina after a former talent of ABS-CBN primetime television series “Forevermore” complained that she and her boyfriend who agreed to be a substitute actor were cursed and humiliated by Molina on set.

In an “open letter” posted on her Facebook account, talent Rosselyn Domingo recounted the horrible experience that she and her boyfriend, historian and educator Alvin Campomanes, went through under Molina while taping for a scene for the hit show in 2014.

Domingo even showed the complaint that Campomanes filed before the executives of the broadcast giant. However, a boss from ABS-CBN reportedly told them that Molina was known for cursing on set and that it was her way of coping with stress.

In a Facebook post on Sunday, Roces seemed to echo the reasoning of the ABS-CBN boss, saying that actors and talents underwent humiliation before they became good in their craft.

Roces, who was first known for her sexy roles, said that directors are always stressed on set.

She chided Domingo for being “too emotional,” adding that if she could not take the pressure, she should not have entered the showbiz industry in the first place.

Roces even shared an unwritten rule in showbiz: “ME KANYA KANYA TAYONG TOPAK…ARTISTA KA MAN O DIREKTOR…I RERESPETO KO ANG TOPAK MO NGAYON.. PERO PAG AKO ANG TINOPAK RESPETO MO DIN!! ganyan kasimple pero ang kinalalabasan nyan ay isang MAGANDANG OBRA.”

As of posting time, Molina has not yet issued a statement regarding the issue. AJH
