‘You’re beautiful,’ Sam Smith tells Manila

Filipino fans of English singer-songwriter Sam Smith can finally “stay with” their favorite artist—even for just a few hours—as his concert happens tonight at SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Smith, who is in Manila for the Philippine leg of his concert tour dubbed “In the Lonely Hour 2015,” shared on Instagram on Saturday a photo of the city’s famed scenic horizon with the caption: “Well Manila – you’re beautiful.”

The concert, which was originally slated in May this year, had been postponed after Smith suffered vocal cord hemorrhaging which forced him to reschedule the tour.

The singer is known for his 2014 hits “Stay With Me,” “I’m Not the Only One,” “Lay Me Down” and “Latch,” among other songs. In 2015, Smith sang “Writing’s on the Wall,” the theme for the latest installment to the James Bond film series “Spectre.”
