Gerald Anderson confirms breakup with Maja Salvador

Actor Gerald Anderson has confirmed he and actress Maja Salvador have broken up, saying they are “taking a break from each other.”

“This is difficult for the two of us but Maja and I are on good terms,” Anderson said on Tuesday during a press conference for the ABS-CBN drama “Nathaniel.”

The actor asked for privacy as he pleaded for respect for his former girlfriend. “Please respect our privacy. Please respect her (Maja),” he said.

Anderson said he didn’t want to go into the details of their breakup and asked their fans to “respect her as much as you can.”

“’Di biro ang pinaagdadaanan namin (What we’re going through is no joke),” he said, adding he felt bad for what happened between them.
