Mark Bautista’s mom arrested for estafa

MANILA, Philippines – The mother of GMA 7 singer and actor Mark Bautista was arrested Wednesday in Cagayan De Oro City after police serve a warrant of arrest on her over a pending estafa charge, according to a radio report Thursday.
Susan Bautista was arrested after her friend filed an estafa charge in court due to unpaid debt.
Macasandig Police Station chief Senior Inspector Ariel Philip Pontillas did not disclose the amount to be paid by Bautista, saying that it is a personal arrangement between the two parties.
Pontillas also said that Bautista may be freed on bail.
Mark Bautista has not issued any statement to the media regarding his mother’s case.
Mark Bautista is currently in United Kingdom as part of the West End cast of the musical “Here Lies Love”.
Bautista plays the role of former president Ferdinand Marcos in the said musical.
