George Clooney meets his match
CLOONEY. Will his future wife be able to hold his unblinking attention for long?
George Clooney is one of the most eligible and desired bachelors in Hollywood, but he’s become a past master at avoiding “the marriage trap”—until now: Just as people thought he would remain a bachelor to the end of his debonair days, Clooney has proudly and sheepishly announced that he’s met his match—and prospective partner in life—in Amal Alamuddin, who just happens to be a great looker and achiever in her own right.
Of course, Clooney’s friends and “brat pack” members wonder if his fiancée and future wife will be able to hold his unblinking attention for long. Never mind adoration and devotion, simple sustained attention has been one of Gorgeous George’s lifelong problems, as any number of similarly desirable women have found out—to their eventual chagrin.
After all, Clooney has so many good things going for him that he can’t be expected to focus on only one of them—in the form of his now finally chosen life partner—for long! —Or can he?
Fake ‘prince’
On reality TV, the big ruckus is over the new show, “I Want to Marry Harry,” which invites ambitious and starstruck young women to compete for the marital nod of—no less than England’s Prince Harry!
So what’s the fuss and bother all about? Well, the real reality is, the guy they all want to marry isn’t Prince Harry at all, but his doppelganger, or exact look-alike!
The big question is, don’t those avid aspirants know this? If so, why did they agree to play along for the ersatz prospect of marrying into royalty? Some girls must really desire publicity and even notoriety that much!
