We’ve added a new ANC show to our regular viewing fare each Saturday –“Green Living,” hosted by Paolo Abrera. The magazine show promotes environmental awareness and healthy living by way of features that are presented in an engagingly interesting way, thanks to the host’s offhand yet sensible approach.

We enjoyed the program’s recent feature on the Papemelroti store and its unique handicrafts and other products. We’ve patronized the store’s branches for years now, because we appreciate the fact that the creative family behind Papemelroti has designed many of the items it sells. We trust that its personalized approach will interest other crafters in coming up with and sharing their own designs.

Last August 27’s telecast was made even more notable by a feature on a young couple with four young children, and the inspired and inspiring way they have integrated exercise and healthy living into their daily lives.

FEATURED STORIES

Edric and Joy Mendoza were personable, fit, attractive, intelligent, articulate and thoroughly delightful as they shared their thoughts and experiences with viewers, motivating them to be similarly creative and enthusiastic about making good health their most valuable shared wealth.

In fact, Edric and Joy came across so winningly on TV that we would like to “formally” ask ANC to give them their own show, so that we can enjoy and benefit from their beautiful relationship and experiences on a weekly basis.

Anyone who watches TV regularly knows only too well how difficult it is to “discover” and develop outstanding new program hosts – but, that’s exactly what ANC has in the Mendoza couple. So, the channel should get them to “graduate” from guests to hosts, and we daresay that many viewers will agree with us that they’re a unique find.

They’re young, telegenic, can ad-lib intelligently and interestingly, and are passionate about living healthily and well. They would be ideal hosts for a lifestyle show about young marrieds, and could speak authoritatively on a great number of trendy topics (for one thing, they home-school their young children).

What do you say, ANC? We don’t know Edric and Joy Mendoza from Adam and Eve, but they really are a major find – definitely, too good to pass up!

Genuine involvement

Since we’re talking about promising TV show hosts, we’d also like to cite the hosts of “100% Pinoy,” Miriam Quiambao and Joaquin Valdes. They make the features they introduce to viewers more interesting with their genuine involvement in the unique events or activities they cover.

The show itself is exceptionally viewable, because it features relatively fresh topics that are strong on local relevance and significance – as its title proudly declares!
