PH’s Medina third runner-up in Miss Intercontinental

MANILA, Philippines – Koreen Medina was announced Miss Intercontinental third runner-up Saturday night in Germany.
The beauty pageant posted on its official Facebook Page that the Miss Philippines was third runner-up to Ekaterina Plekhova of Russia who was crowned Miss Intercontinental 2013 in Madgeburg, Germany.
The 18-year old Medina was also given the title Miss Asia and Oceana.
First runner-up was awarded to Miss Puerto Rico who also won Best in Swimsuit and Best Smile.
Miss Colombia became second runner up while Miss South Africa was crowned fourth runner-up.
Medina thanked her fellow Filipinos through Twitter by posting, “Can’t thank you all for the tweets!! You guys are the best! Love you all and God bless everyone! MABUHAY ANG PILIPINAS!”
This year’s Miss Intercontinental, run by the World Beauty Organization, featured 59 contestants from different parts of the globe.
