Zedd drops the beats, donations
MANILA, Philippines—It was summed up as “Charity is Clarity.”
Last December 12, international DJ Zedd lit up the SMX Convention Center with strobe light and lasers during his “Zedd Moment of Clarity Tour Manila” to the tune of his hit songs “Clarity,” “Spectrum” and “Legend of Zelda.”
French DJ Madeon opened the show for Zedd with tracks “Finale,” “Icarus” and “Technicolor” that electrified the jam-packed SMX concert hall.
In his Twitter account, the German-born music producer announced that all the proceeds from the concert would go directly to the survivors of Supertyphoon “Yolanda.”
Aside from the ticket sales, canned goods were also requested from the audience, with the first 500 donors getting free tickets for their efforts.
Zedd also encouraged the audience to leave their donations even if they were left out of the first 500.
