Filmmaker Erik Matti and producer Dondon Monteverde have signed up with top Hollywood firm Creative Artists Agency (CAA). Monteverde and Matti told the Inquirer that they joined CAA as a director-producer tandem.

CAA reps saw Matti’s “On the Job,” which premiered at the Directors’ Fortnight of Cannes last month. Oscar winners Steven Spielberg, Ang Lee, Pedro Almodovar, James Cameron and Kathryn Bigelow are CAA talents, too. Matti was an honoree in the first Inquirer Indie Bravo! Tribute. Bayani San Diego Jr.

Oh please! You need an agent, if you want to work in Hollywood. So you hire an agency to represent you.

So what’s the next pat in the back feel good announcement? The America’s director’s and producer’s guild beg the two to join them? You can’t work in Hollywood if you’re not a member of any guild. Hollywood system are different from Manila system.
