In an earlier Inquirer interview, comedian Ariel Villasanta said of his mother, Elvie, who was then fighting breast cancer: “I wouldn’t know what to do if I lost my mom. Only thing I know for sure is that it would be very painful.”

Best known for her reality shows “Mommy Elvie’s Problematic Show” and “Mommy Elvie @ 18,” comedienne Elvie Villasanta passed away on Friday after a lingering battle with breast cancer.

She was 84.

The wake will be held at the Christ the King Church in Green Meadows, Quezon City until Wednesday. Cremation is on Thursday.

Reports said Mommy Elvie had been confined at the St. Luke’s Medical Center for over three weeks before her passing.
