After being hospitalized, Marian Rivera promises to fix her schedule for a full rest

MANILA, Philippines—Due to stress and over fatigue, GMA-7’s prized talent Marian Rivera was recently hospitalized, reports from INQUIRER Bandera said Monday.

INQUIRER Bandera’s Dinno Erece wrote in his column “Story Teller,” that Rivera was spotted late last week in an undisclosed hospital in Makati City, wearing a neck brace. Rivera later confirmed to Erece during the press con of her latest film, “My Lady Boss” that her doctor required her to wear a neck brace for one night.

The doctor reportedly advised Rivera to rest for three consecutive weeks to which Rivera declined because of her major commitments. The doctor instead gave her medications to perk her up. Rivera reportedly promised to take much-needed breaks in between taping and shooting days.

In his column “Expose”, INQUIRER Bandera’s Jobert Sucaldito said he was bothered upon learning of Rivera’s plight. He learned Rivera hasn’t had a decent sleep for two consecutive months.

He wrote that because he cared a lot for Rivera, he said he called the beautiful actress to personally check on her.

Rivera’s reply: “Yes po. I need to allot one day or two days in a week for a full rest. I am not complaining because I have work but I need to take care of myself too. It’s not right to work and work if my body can’t do it anymore. ”

She also promised to fix her schedule.

Besides “My Lady Boss,” which she stars with leading man Richard Gutierrez, Rivera also plays the avenging ex-wife of Dennis Trillo’s character in GMA 7’s prime-time soap, “Temptation of Wife.” With a report from Totel V. de Jesus, INQUIRER.net
