Pasay prosecutor: Raymart, Claudine may be guilty only of slight physical injury

MANILA, Philippines—The Pasay City Prosecutor’s Office dismissed the attempted homicide, grave coercion and oral defamation complaints filed by journalist Ramon Tulfo against celebrity couple Raymart Santiago and Claudine Barretto.

Only the case of slight physical injury against the Santiagos and their companion Edoardo Atilano was filed by the prosecutor before the Metropolitan Trial Court.

The criminal case against the couple was dismissed for lack of probable cause, which means a crime has been committed and that the respondents (in this case Santiago and Barretto) are probably guilty and should be prosecuted.

The case stemmed after the melee at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) last year between the couple and their companion and Tulfo.
