Daniel Day-Lewis wins Globe best actor for ‘Lincoln’

LOS ANGELES – Daniel Day-Lewis won best actor Golden Globe on Sunday for his title role in Steven Spielberg’s presidential drama “Lincoln.”

The British-Irish star beat fellow nominees Richard Gere in “Arbitrage,” John Hawkes in “The Sessions,” Joaquin Phoenix in “The Master” and Denzel Washington in “Flight.”
