Vice Ganda debuts new song ‘Talak’ as ‘Showtime’ brings back ‘Miss Q and A’
Vice Ganda launched his latest single “Talak” as “It’s Showtime” relaunched its popular segment “Miss Q and A” for a new season.
The comedian-host performed “Talak” when he opened the pageant-inspired segment’s comeback during the June 15 episode of the noontime show.
“Talak,” which means to nag or rant in a loud voice, joins Vice Ganda’s growing pop discography, some of which are “Rampa,” “Boompanes,” “Wag kang Pabebe” and “Bwak Bwak Bwak.”
Vice Ganda said the track was inspired by the last season of “Miss Q and A” as it simply discusses the potential and journey of the contestants.
The TV host added that audiences can expect more spontaneous and memorable moments from the new season.

“Ang dapat abangan nating lahat ay ‘yung mga hindi inaasahang sasabihin ng mga contestants natin, kasi ‘yun ‘yung magic ng ‘Miss Q&A,'” he said.
Beauty queen and television host Nicole Cordoves and singer-host Karylle returned as judges this season. Joining them is “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition” Season 1 ex-housemate Ralph De Leon, who is also known as a “Y Speak” host.
The debut episode gained traction online, specifically on X, as viewers welcomed the return of the segment, which became known in previous years for contestants’ humorous and unexpected answers.
In the pilot episode, Mrs. Jawo of Antipolo was named the first daily winner after impressing the judges during the “Wit Lang” portion. She received P15,000 in cash along with a sash and crown.
Originally launched in 2018, “Miss Q and A” became one of “It’s Showtime’s” most talked-about segments because of its mix of comedy, pageantry, and quick-thinking contestants.
Several former participants later gained popularity online and in show business including comedians Juliana Parizcova Segovia and Chad Kinis.
Meanwhile, auditions for the new season are open to aspiring contestants aged 18 and above every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the ABS-CBN audience entrance.
“It’s Showtime” airs Mondays to Saturdays at noon on GMA Network, A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, iWant, TFC, and ABS-CBN Entertainment’s digital platforms. /edv
