WATCH: Jeremy Strong as Mark Zuckerberg in ‘The Social Reckoning’ trailer
Jeremy Strong steps into the role of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg in the first trailer for “The Social Reckoning,” the upcoming follow-up to the 2010 hit film “The Social Network.”
Released by Sony Pictures on Wednesday, June 10, the trailer sees Strong sporting Zuckerberg’s signature haircut as he attends a high-stakes congressional hearing regarding allegations of injecting a “firehose of bad information” into the air supply or toxic misinformation into his platform.
The trailer also introduces Oscar winner Mikey Madison as whistleblower Frances Haugen, the former Facebook employee who leaked internal company documents to aid the investigation.
Jeremy Allen White appears as Wall Street Journal reporter Jeff Horwitz, whose “Facebook Files” investigation exposed internal research and controversies tied to the platform.

Strong, who rose to fame for his portrayal of Kendall Roy in the award-winning series “Succession,” takes over the role from the younger Zuckerberg originally played by Jesse Eisenberg in the first film.
“The Social Network,” directed by David Fincher, earned $226 million at the global box office and landed eight Academy Award nominations, including best picture.
The sequel, which is written and directed by Aaron Sorkin, is set 17 years after the events of “The Social Network.” /ra
Aside from Strong, Madison, and White, the second film’s cast also includes Bill Burr, Wunmi Mosaku, Betty Gilpin, and Billy Magnussen.
“The Social Reckoning” is scheduled to hit Philippine cinemas in October.
