Ritz Azul reveals two pregnancy losses prior to first baby
Ritz Azul opened up about how she felt “uncertain” during her pregnancy with her first child Zie, revealing that she had previously suffered from a miscarriage then an ectopic pregnancy.
According to Mayo Clinic, ectopic pregnancy occurs “when a fertilized egg implants and grows outside the main cavity of the uterus.”
The actress disclosed this while showing moments from when she was still pregnant, through her Instagram page on Tuesday, June 9.
“‘Di ako nakapagpost ng details ng pregnancy namin kasi feeling ko nung time na yun uncertain lahat,” she said. “Year 2024 nagkamiscarriage kami. Early stage of pregnancy. Mid 2025, ectopic. Nagmelt siya on its own, no need ng surgery.”
(I didn’t post any details about my pregnancy because I felt that everything was uncertain at the time. We experienced a miscarriage in 2024 during the early stages of pregnancy. Then, in mid-2025, I had an ectopic pregnancy. It resolved on its own, so there was no need for surgery.)
“Late 2025, nagpositive ulit and ito na siya,” she continued. (In late 2025, I tested positive for pregnancy again—and this time, it was him.)
Azul admitted feeling unsure after seeing a positive test result for the third time, citing her and her husband Allan Guy’s fear that they would lose their baby again. Nonetheless, she stressed that they held on to their faith.
“Ang dami naming pinagpapasalamat sa Dios. Isa doon ay kahit na high risk pregnancy, nakapagnormal delivery pa rin, sa tulong at awa Niya,” she stated.
(We have so much to thank God for. One of them is that despite having a high-risk pregnancy, I was still able to have a normal delivery through His help and mercy.)
Concluding her post, she reminded the public, “Hindi natin hawak lahat ng bagay. Wala tayong control sa lahat. Aside from ginagawa natin ang best natin, maganda rin na magpray at maging panatag na mangyayari ang mabuti para sa’tin.”
(We don’t have control over everything. There are things beyond our control. Aside from doing our best, it’s also important to pray and find peace in knowing that good things will come our way.)
