Iwa Moto, Pampi Lacson set to marry in 2028; Jodi Sta Maria one of bridesmaids
Iwa Moto revealed that she and longtime partner Pampi Lacson intend to get married in 2028, and the latter’s former wife, Jodi Sta. Maria, will serve as one of her bridesmaids.
During her recent guest appearance on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Moto said they decided to hold the wedding in 2028 to give themselves enough time to save for the ceremony.
“Right now, we are planning for 2028 kasi sa kasamaang palad po hindi po ako Disney princess. Kailangan ko pong mag-ipon,” she said.

“Kailangan po naming mag-ipon pareho kasi syempre medyo mahal po ang pagpapakasal. We are really trying our best to work hard and earn para po makapagpakasal na kami,” added the former actress.
When asked if the wedding could happen after the national elections, Moto said it could be.
“Actually po, after elections, mga August po kasi para hindi na rin po magulo. Tahimik na rin po,” she explained.

Moto then shared that Sta. Maria will serve as one of her bridesmaids and she was one of the first people to know when Lacson proposed earlier this year.
“Bridesmaid ko po siya. [Joke niya], ‘Handa na ang gown ko,'” Moto said. “She’s so happy. Siya naman po, sabi niya, matagal na niyang inaantay ‘to.”
The former “Starstruck” talent underscored that her friendship with Sta. Maria became easy because she was not the reason the former couple split.
“Nu’ng dumating ako sa buhay ni Pampi, wala na talaga sila. Nu’ng dumating ako, kaya din siguro hindi naging mahirap ‘yung transition namin to become friends, maybe because I’m not the reason why they broke up,” Moto said.
Moto explained that their shared love for Thirdy, the son of Sta. Maria and Lacson, helped them build a strong friendship.
“So ‘yung nakikita ko na nahihirapan ‘yung bata dahil ‘yung magulang niya, kami, ‘yung tumatayong nagbabantay sa kanya, ay ‘di nagkakasundo, siya ‘yung naapektuhan,” she expressed.
Sta. Maria and Lacson got married in 2005 before separating in 2011. In June 2024, their marriage was officially annulled.
Moto and Lacson, meanwhile, have been together for 14 years and have two children, Hiromi and Caleb. /ra
