JC Santos rushed to hospital amid health scare: ‘Pushed myself a little too hard’
JC Santos had a wake-up call to prioritize his health after he had to be taken to a hospital and monitored at a Neurological Intensive Care Unit due to extreme dizziness.
The actor narrated the health scare he experienced through his Instagram page, while showing a photo of himself lying in a hospital bed.
“To everyone who reached out with love and concern-thank you. I’m okay, and thankfully it wasn’t anything too serious,” he assured.
“One day I woke up feeling dizzy, and before I knew it, I was in the emergency room with wires attached to my chest, listening to machines beep around me, going through MRIs, blood tests, running to stress echo, under close monitoring in a Neuro ICU to figure out what was going on,” he recalled.
Santos considered the incident as a “divine intervention,” saying it reminded him to slow down and rest.
“I may have pushed myself a little too hard,” he admitted. “It caught me by surprise too. First time.”
Santos noted that he has already been discharged from the hospital and is now recovering well. He added that he will still attend his scheduled “Ang Babae sa Septic Tank 4” theatrical show.
“Thank you again for all the love. It means more than you know. The show must go on,” he concluded.
Aside from starring in “Ang Babae sa Septic Tank 4,” Santos also recently headlined the Sigrid Andrea Bernardo-helmed psychological film “Laya.” /edv
