Concert alert: KAIA; OPM Con Generations; A1
- Rising P-pop girl group KAIA successfully concluded a series of shows in Cebu with a performance at BAICON 2026. The group, composed of Angela, Charice, Sophia, Alexa, and Charlotte, further strengthened its connection with its growing fanbase in the Visayas with their signature energy, stage presence, and performance quality that have recently earned the group widespread attention online. The appearance came on the heels of KAIA’s viral live performances of “Take Down” and “You Did It,” which have garnered significant traction across social media platforms and introduced the group to new audiences both in the Philippines and abroad. “This has been one of our longest stays in Cebu so far, and we’re very grateful for all the love we’ve received,” shared the group. “Every visit reminds us how passionate and supportive Cebuano fans are, and we’re thankful to everyone who continues to support KAIA.”
- Gear up for OPM Con Generations, a night headlined by some of today’s brightest talents in Original Pilipino Music (OPM) on July 11 at the Araneta Coliseum. The event brings together SB19, Ben&Ben, Alamat, Flow G, Skusta Clee, SunKissed Lola, G22, KAIA, and Xonara for an epic night of entertainment, the third of retail brand Puregold’s much-celebrated annual music event. Customers can get the chance to secure free concert tickets through their grocery purchases. From June 12 onwards, perk members may redeem free concert tickets through qualified single-receipt purchases made at participating Puregold stores. They must first secure a queueing number for their preferred ticket tier before shopping. The queueing number confirms availability for a specific section and reserves the member’s slot for that ticket category. After completing their purchase, members may proceed to the ticket redemption booth and present their perk card, queueing number, and official receipt to claim their concert ticket.
- Due to fan demand, British-Norwegian Boy Band A1 confirms additional Laguna date for their Philippine return in October. Originally a two-city pop celebration, the event has now grown even bigger with the announcement of a third show in Santa Rosa, Laguna on October 18 at the Sta. Rosa Sports Complex, completing a tightly packed Philippine run that now spans Cebu, Manila, and South Luzon. Tickets go on sale, June 15, 12 noon onwards. A1 members Paul Marazzi, Christian Ingebrigtsen, Mark Read, and Ben Adams are expected to revisit the songs that defined their rise during the late 1990s pop era, such as “Like a Rose,” “Everytime,” “Heaven by Your Side,” and “Same Old Brand New You.” Their return follows the success of their earlier Valentine’s run in 2025, which drew strong turnout across key cities and reaffirmed their status as one of the most supported international pop acts in the country. /edv
