Filipino ARMYs brace for ‘ticketing war’ as BTS Bulacan concert sales begin
Filipino ARMYs are already preparing for what fans describe as one of the biggest “ticketing wars” in the country as BTS concert ticket selling begins today, June 9.
With thousands expected to flock online for the highly anticipated Bulacan show, organizers and ticketing platforms have released extensive reminders and restrictions in an apparent effort to prevent technical issues, scalping, and ticket hoarding during the sales period.
The ARMY Membership presale begins on June 9, 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. followed by the Live Nation presale on June 10 and the general on sale on June 11.

Ahead of the ticket release, SM Ticketmaster reminded fans to use only one browser or tab during the selling period, warning that multiple tabs may cause errors or trigger bot detection systems.
“Don’t refresh the page — you could get kicked out or flagged as a bot,” the platform said in its ticketing reminders on Monday, June 8.
The platform also implemented queue systems, account verification measures, ticket limits, and mobile-only ticketing to help manage the expected heavy traffic.
Under the guidelines, buyers may only purchase up to two tickets per order per account, with a maximum of six tickets per show date.
Live Nation Philippines also announced that tickets will be name-based and non-transferable, requiring ticket holders to present valid identification matching the purchaser’s account name upon entry to the venue.
The promoter warned that failure to comply with the policy could result in denial of entry.
Organizers likewise cautioned fans against purchasing from third-party resellers and speculative listings, where sellers offer tickets even before official sales begin.
“These are called speculative listings,” the advisory read. “You’ll probably be asked to pay more.”

For many Filipino fans, however, preparation for the concert goes beyond simply securing stable internet and payment methods.
ARMY Pauline Joyce said emotional preparation is just as important as logistical planning.
“Everyone knows this is the biggest, wildest ticketing war, so planning is a must,” she said.
She shared that fans have been checking their Weverse memberships, SM Ticketmaster accounts, and preferred seating plans ahead of the sale.
“As long as you’re in the purple ocean, you’re home,” she added.
Pauline admitted she has no backup plan if she fails to secure tickets because she likes to be optimistic that she will be able to secure one.
“There’s no backup plan — I’m getting two tickets for me and my sister,” she said.

Another fan, Faye, said she and her friend have been studying the ticketing guidelines and familiarizing themselves with the new platform ahead of the presale.
“Since it’ll be our first time using SM Ticketmaster, we’re familiarizing ourselves with the platform before ticketing,” she said.
If she fails to secure tickets locally, Faye said she may attempt to buy tickets for nearby Southeast Asian stops instead.
Despite the pressure surrounding the highly competitive sales, both fans said seeing BTS again carries deep personal meaning.
“It’s more than a ticket, it’s healing for my inner child,” Pauline shared, explaining how BTS’ music helped her through difficult periods in her life.
Faye echoed the sentiment, saying the group’s music gave her comfort during hard times.
“The lyrics of their songs gave me comfort and made me feel like I was not alone,” she said.
As the countdown to ticket selling continues, Filipino ARMYs are expected to once again test servers, patience, and luck in hopes of finally reuniting with the global superstars on March 13 and 14, 2027. /edv
