Heart Evangelista, John Prats play old flames in TJ Monterde’s MV ‘Teka Lang’

Heart Evangelista and John Prats once again reunited on screen as old flames in the music video for TJ Monterde’s latest single “Teka Lang.”

Released on Wednesday, June 3, the music video follows two childhood friends whose connection is interrupted after one of them moves away, only to cross paths again more than two decades later.

Young actress Caprice Cayetano portrayed a younger version of Evangelista’s character, marking her first-ever music video appearance, while Jairo Nolasco played the younger version of Prats’ role.

The video opens with Caprice and Jairo’s characters meeting during a summer camping trip. Their budding romance, however, remains unfinished after Cayetano’s character is forced to move home.

Twenty-three years later, Evangelista and Prats portray the adult versions of the pair, who unexpectedly reunite inside a bus. Evangelista’s character is already seated when she notices Prats boarding, triggering memories of their past together.

The two exchange nostalgic smiles before Prats warmly waves at Evangelista, signaling the possibility of second chances.

Evangelista and Prats were among the most popular love teams in the early 2000s after starring together in the youth-oriented series “G-mik,” where they portrayed fan-favorite characters Missy and Yuan.

Earlier this year, the former couple delighted longtime fans after reuniting during a gathering in Rizal. Heart shared photos from the meeting on Instagram, captioning them: “Missy and Yuan forever. 02.02.02. If you know, you know.” /ra
