New game show ‘The People Have Spoken’ aims to educate, says Heart Evangelista

Heart Evangelista sees her upcoming first game show “The People Have Spoken” as an outlet for viewers to understand different perspectives.
During the show’s media conference on Thursday, May 28, in Quezon City, Evangelista said that accepting the project was an easy decision for her because of how educating the concept is.
“It’s something that you can interact with people on the show and the people watching,” she said.
“Parang dito, walang maling sagot, but may dahilan kung bakit ganon ang sagot nila. So in a way, you’re also educating others. So I love it, I love that,” the actress added.
“The People Have Spoken” features 100 studio audience members answering questions about different topics and issues, while celebrity contestants try to guess the public’s responses.
Joining Evangelista in the show as co-host is young actor Sean Lucas, who admitted he still could not believe landing the project.
“Never expected anything like this. I went into the audition process not really expecting anything and just wanted to do my best,” he said. “And now that I’m here, it’s just surreal, unbelievable.”
The 23-year-old star also thanked Evangelista for making him feel comfortable on the set.
“Because I’m super pressured from the start. I told you how nervous I was and you’ve always been so warm and so welcoming, and you made it an easy job,” he told the fashion icon.
Evangelista also praised Lucas for his work ethic, saying, “He’s so easy to work with. Sobrang OK siya, sobrang smart. Sobrang sipag.”
“The People Have Spoken” is set to premiere June 6 on GMA Network. /ra
