Barbie Imperial clarifies ad post amid claims she’s ‘copying’ Sarah Lahbati
Barbie Imperial made a clarification over a recent sponsored post after some netizens pointed out its similarities to a post by Sarah Lahbati, the estranged wife of the former’s boyfriend Richard Gutierrez.
Imperial had shared on her Facebook page last Tuesday, May 19, photos of herself and her high-end vehicle, with the caption “big toy for a small girl.”
Noticeably, in the comments section, several users made mention of Lahbati and noted how she shared a similar post with a car just days prior to Imperial. This apparently led some to speculate that Imperial was supposedly copying Lahbati’s social media content.

After being bombarded with these accusations, Imperial took to the comments section to clarify that her post was a scheduled content for a brand.
“I had my Lc250 last year pa. This was shot last month pa and I was told to post this pic this week,” she said.
“I think I’m allowed naman to post my car sponsorships. ‘Wag issue,” she stated. (Don’t create an issue.)
Imperial bought her luxury vehicle, which reportedly cost more than P4 million, in 2025.
Imperial and Gutierrez confirmed their relationship last January after months of speculations. Imperial then said that all was well between her and Lahbati, clarifying that she was not the reason behind the latter’s separation from Gutierrez. /ra
