Willie Revillame denies ex-intern’s ‘bawal siyang tingnan’ claim: ‘Sinungaling’

Willie Revillame denied the claim made by a supposed former production intern that staff were prohibited from looking at, approaching or speaking to him.
During the live episode of “Wilyonaryo” on Tuesday, May 6, Revillame broke his silence on the issue circulating on social media.
(There are a lot of slanderous comments on social media. Don’t believe them saying that they are not allowed to look at me. First, I don’t know if there are OJT or intern students there. I don’t know that.)
The TV host explained that his dressing room at GMA was located backstage, which was why there were usually no people around whenever he walked through the area.
Siraulo ‘tong batang ‘to. Gustong sumikat.
(So don’t believe that you’re not allowed to look at me or anything. This kid is crazy. He wants to be famous. You’re going to use me too? How am I not allowed to be looked at when I joke around with everyone I see? I tease them.)
Revillame also stressed that he doesn’t know the intern personally and hadn’t seen him around the time he was with GMA.
Hindi nga namin kilala ‘to… Never ho naming nakita ‘yan sa GMA,” he said.
(You know, you’re still young, but you’re crazy. Sometimes you just get frustrated by all this fake news. We don’t know him… We’ve never seen him on GMA.)
The TV host said that the allegation came at the same time that he announced the return of “Wowowin.”

(Just when Wowowin is coming back, you try to ruin me. Wowowin will come back to help our countrymen cope with the hardships of life today. We are doing what we can to help.)
Revillame also challenged the former intern to face him personally so they can address the allegation.
Paglalaruan niyo ‘yung tao?” said the TV host.
(Come here, introduce yourself to me and let’s have a one-on-one. Tell me when I saw you. Are you going to make up a story to get famous? Are you going to make up a story to get known? Fooling the people?)
The singer-host likewise urged social media users to use online platforms responsibly and avoid spreading false information.
Despite his strong remarks, Revillame said he still hopes the former intern was able to finish school and live a good life.
“Diyos ko po. Matakot ka sa Diyos. Nagsasalita ka ng hindi totoo. Sayang. Sana maging maayos ang buhay mo,” he said.
(My God. Fear God. You are speaking untruths. What a shame. You are still a child and you are already lying… If you were a student then, I wish you have graduated. I hope your life will be good.)
It can be recalled that stand-up comedian Dex Conche previously recounted his internship experience at “Wowowin,” claiming there was a rule prohibiting interns from speaking to and even looking at Revillame. /ra
