Mikee Quintos says she has found closure after ‘painful’ split with Paul Salas

Mikee Quintos said she has finally found the “closure” she had been seeking following her breakup with Paul Salas last year.
Appearing on the Monday, May 5, episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Quintos shared that she recently saw Salas again during the “Bida sa Arena” celebrity basketball game over the weekend.
The actress also confirmed that she and Salas were able to talk last February at her best friend actor Mikoy Morales’ bachelor party.
“I’m not gonna deny, it was still painful […] I found myself saying to him dito sa usap na ‘to na parang ito ‘yung gusto kong usap last year. Sabi ko sa kaniya n’un, ito ‘yung kinailangan kong closure last year. Akala ko nga ‘di ko na makukuha but at least nakuha ko pa rin,” she expressed.
Quintos said she is now in a better place emotionally, which she believes helped make their recent conversation more meaningful.
“Along the way, looking back, I was not just grieving us, the relationship. I also grieved a version of myself, ‘yung Mikee na ‘yun na was with Paul. I don’t think I can go back to her. I love who I am now,” explained the actress.
Quintos confirmed her separation from Salas in April 2025 after four years of being in a relationship. At the time, the actress emphasized that there was no third party involved in their split.
Meanwhile, Quintos was joined by Heaven Peralejo during the same interview. The latter also went through a breakup last year with actor Marco Gallo.
Peralejo also looked back on her split with Gallo, which she described as a “learning experience.”
“It was a beautiful love,” Peralejo said of her past relationship. “I realized na hindi naman lahat ng tao is meant to stay forever in your life. And sometimes dapat nandoon lang siya sa season na ‘yun ng istorya ng buhay mo. And it’s fine kasi at some point minahal namin ‘yung isa’t isa the best that we can.”
Peralejo and Gallo were first romantically linked in 2023. They went Instagram official in November 2024. /ra
