Shaira Diaz, EA Guzman ready to have baby this year
Celebrity couple Shaira Diaz and EA Guzman said they are ready to start a family this year, nearly nine months after tying the knot.
In a recent episode of “Unang Hirit,” Guzman shared his birthday wish for his wife as she turned 31.
“I wish na sana magka-baby na tayo soon (I wish we could have a baby soon),” said the actor.
Diaz responded with enthusiasm, saying, “Ready na ba? Parang ready na! (Are we ready? It seems like we’re ready!)” She added, “Ngayong taon, i-manifest natin (This year, let’s manifest).”
The couple got married in August 2025 after 12 years together as boyfriend and girlfriend. They got engaged in 2021 but only announced it three years later.

Last year, the pair said that they are not in a rush to start a family or have a baby, as they still want to enjoy the feeling of being married.
Diaz and Guzman previously made headlines for their decision to stay celibate before marriage, a matter that Guzman confessed he initially struggled with.
“Ayoko rin ng ganu’n (magka-baby nang hindi kasal),” he said at the time. “Isa ito sa kinahahangaan ko sa kaniya… ang lagi kong naririnig sa kaniya ay gusto niyang i-save (herself) pagkatapos ng kasal.”
(I really don’t want to have a baby without getting married first. That’s one of the things I admire about her… what I always hear from her is that she wants to save her virginity after marriage.)
The couple’s church wedding in Cavite was attended by celebrities Coco Martin, Julia Montes, and Rayver Cruz, among others.
The pair had their honeymoon in Switzerland the following month after their wedding. /edv
