Ralph de Leon received cheers and light-hearted memes despite a technical blunder at the Miss Universe Philippines 2026 coronation night, an incident he fortunately navigated with stride.
De Leon found himself in the middle of a technical error after his microphone was heard on the livestream but not at the Mall of Asia Arena itself. This led him to repeat his spiel four times and even had to change the microphone in the middle of the blunder.
“Four times the charm!” he quipped, as he restarted his spiel after the technical error.
Despite the blunder, de Leon earned praise for his professionalism and composure, while some hoped that he would land more hosting gigs for his potential to lead a show.
