Rabiya Mateo, Jake Cuenca makes first official appearance together at MUPH stage

Celebrity couple Rabiya Mateo and Jake Cuenca drew cheers as they took the stage as presenters during the Miss Universe Philippines 2026 coronation night on Saturday, May 2, at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The pair, whose relationship has been the subject of public interest in recent months, shared the spotlight in one of the evening’s presentation segments. The occasion appears to be the first time that they officially appeared together.

Mateo wore a striking see-through red gown, while Cuenca sported a white tuxedo.

Cuenca had previously confirmed that he is “exclusively dating” Mateo after they were spotted hanging out in public numerous times. 

Mateo represented the Philippines at the Miss Universe 2020 pageant and finished as a top 21 semifinalist. 

Celeste’s baby bump

Meanwhile, also turning heads during the coronation night was Celeste Cortesi, who proudly showcased her baby bump onstage while wearing her sleek halter gown. It marked her first major public appearance since announcing her pregnancy.

Cortesi, who won the Miss Universe Philippines crown in 2022, revealed in April that she is expecting her first child with partner Jonathan Sterling. She recently announced that they are expecting a baby boy. 

The delegates are now down to the Top 15, all competing to inherit the title from reigning queen Ahtisa Manalo and represent the Philippines at Miss Universe 2026 pageant later this year in Puerto Rico. /edv
