Fans have the power to help shape the outcome of the 2026 Miss Universe Philippines pageant far greater than before, with several public voting options, including a real-time poll on the actual final competition.
After the marathon three-round preliminary “U Vote” via Maya, which will determine the first 10 semifinalists, the same voting platform will open anew for the “Best in Swimsuit” poll whose winner will also enter the semifinals.
The ladies who receive the highest scores from the members of the selection committee for the final preliminary round will also proceed to the semifinals, together with five wildcard picks.
Five more semifinal slots are up for grabs through voting on separate platforms. The leading lady on the PlayTime Entertainment poll and the race for “Miss Glen” (Miss Photogenic) will likewise move to the semifinals.
The three leading delegates in the Pina Beauty voting will all move on to the semifinals, and the top two ladies will automatically enter the Top 15. The highest-ranked candidate is guaranteed a slot in the Final 7.
And while all of these mechanisms are in place before the final competition, fans will still get to boost their favorites through real-time voting in every stage of the final competition.
The Miss Universe Philippines pageant is giving the public a collective seat in the judging panel, wherein their votes on Maya will be tabulated together with the scores of the members of the selection committee. The public, in general, will be considered as one judge.
“This initiative reflects Miss Universe Philippines’ continued commitment to innovation and inclusivity, allowing supporters to experience the Finals not just as viewers but as active participants in the journey to the crown,” the national pageant organization said in a statement released to the media.
To participate, fans must purchase a “Premium Pass” through the MUPH tile on Maya. During the coronation night, enter the active competition rounds for swimsuit, gown, and question-and-answer. Scores are from 1 to 10.
“Participants will be guided through each stage of the experience, from understanding the judging criteria to reviewing their scores before submission,” the organization said.
The 2026 Miss Universe Philippines coronation will take place at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on May 2. Fifty delegates from across the country and overseas Filipino communities are competing to succeed reigning queen Ahtisa Manalo. /ra
