Fifty delegates from across the Philippines and different overseas communities are competing for the title, currently held by reigning queen Ahtisa Manalo, 2025 Miss Universe third runner-up.

International drag superstar Marina Summers returns to the stage, but this time as host of the competition. She performed at the opening number in the 2024 edition. P-Pop boy group BGYO, meanwhile, is set to serenade guests.
Fan favorite Thai beauty queen Veena Praveenar Singh, 2025 Miss Universe first runner-up, will grace the event, together with 2025 Miss Universe China Zhao Na.
The two ladies will be joined by Miss Universe (Asiana) Vice President and Miss Grand International Pres. Nawat Itsaragrisil and Miss Universe China National Director Owen Chua.
Ahead of the coronation show, the pageant already announced 10 ladies who will automatically advance to the semifinals. They are the delegates who amassed the most votes during the third preliminary voting round on the “U Vote” platform via Maya.
Joining these 10 ladies in the semifinals will be the “Best in Swimsuit” who will also be voted on the “U Vote” online platform. She will be announced on the night of the coronation.
Also to be announced during the finale show are the 10 ladies who received the highest scores from the selection committee, five brand award winners, and five wildcard picks, all of whom will also be competing in the semifinal round.
During the course of the show, viewers from all over the world will collectively sit as one judge and help shape the outcome of the competition through real-time online voting.
After the first semifinal round, the roster will be trimmed down to just 15 delegates, which will include the two highest ranked of the three Pina Beauties. The last cut of the evening will be for the Final 7, and one of them will be the lady who will top the Pina Beauty voting.
Manalo will crown her successor at the end of the ceremonies. But unlike the two previous editions when an auxiliary program followed the final competition show for the coronation of The Miss Philippines queens, no additional proclamations will take place this year.
The 2026 Miss Universe Philippines titleholder will represent the country in the 75th Miss Universe pageant in Puerto Rico in November, and will try to become the fifth Filipino woman to bring home the crown. /edv
