Willie Revillame’s ‘Wowowin’ set to return as ‘Wilyonaryo’ ends on May 15

Willie Revillame announced that his TV program “Wowowin” is scheduled to return on air, as his online game show “Wilyonaryo” bows out on May 15.
“Hanggang May 15 na lang po ang programang ‘Wilyonaryo.’ Magpapaalam na po kami sa ‘Wilyonaryo,'” he said during the April 27 episode of the online show. “Alam niyo ho kung bakit? Kasi magko-concentrate na ang ‘Wilyonaryo’ sa online gaming.”
“Wilyonaryo” premiered in January this year.
“Hindi na siya pwedeng ipalabas. Hindi niyo na kami napapanood sa Facebook, sa YouTube. Hindi na po siya magiging parte ng aking programa,” Revillame explained.
(The program “Wilyonaryo” will only run until May 15. We will be saying goodbye to “Wilyonaryo.” Do you know why? Because “Wilyonaryo” will now focus on online gaming. It can no longer be aired. You won’t be able to watch us on Facebook or YouTube anymore. It will no longer be part of my program.)
The TV host noted that the online show will continue—sans him—as an online gaming platform through its website. He did not specify which group will take over “Wilyonaryo.”
Revillame then flashed a video showing the hundreds of people who lined up to watch “Wowowin” live when it was still airing under GMA Network. He later sang the TV show’s theme song.
“Magbabalik na po ang programang ‘Wowowin’!” he announced, saying that the program is set to return this coming May. “Tuloy-tuloy na po ang saya ng bawat Pilipino!”
(“Wowowin” is coming back! We will continue to bring joy to every Filipino!)
Revillame has yet to reveal which network will air his returning show, although some speculate that the heart drawings included in the teaser video pertains to GMA Network. /edv
